Sofia Gobbi

Hi, I’m Sofia! I’m a singer-songwriter who grew up in a small town in Italy to an Italian dad and a Californian mom.
 
I wrote my first song with my best friend when we were 8 for our duo “Aley & Sofy”, and I have been in love with songwriting ever since. We spent our childhood writing and producing songs, creating merchandize out of anything we could find lying around the house, building limousines out of cardboard boxes, directing music videos, designing stage sets and costumes... the list goes on.
 
One of my favorite things about writing songs is realizing how many people go through the same things as you. A lot of the time in life you can feel like you're alone in your experiences. But then, whether it's a song, a movie or just an honest conversation with a friend, we all have that moment when we’re like, “Oh, I’m not the only one who’s been through this”. And that’s immensely comforting. So, I guess my music is trying to bring that comfort blanket and wrap it around people :) 

I’m currently living in London, where over the past couple of years I have been producing and recording my music. I cannot wait for you to hear these songs and for us to dance and cry and laugh over them together.
