Sofie grew up in a music heavy household which inspired her to take a leap of faith into the music industry, herself. Her past music experiences pushed her into finding her own voice with her songwriting, which just so happens to be RnB. Taking inspiration from other female musicians such as: Jorja Smith, Mahalia and Mae Muller. Her previous two singles ‘Free’ and ‘Players’ both received recognition from BBC Introducing, with ‘Free’ being made their track of the day before it was released.
Her latest release ‘Too Much Time’ takes the guitar sound, and sultry RnB tones, of the track’s influences, to create the sound that Sofie is quickly becoming known for. The track’s title references the small-minded attitude of anybody who spends “too much time” worrying about others. The song is a sassy anthem for those stuck in a ruck dreaming of the day when they can throw down the gloves and pursue their dreams.
