Indie, post-punk, shoegaze, pop, rock. SOFSKY plays a unique blend of these genres and produces a terrific sound that shifts comfortably from present-day to the sonic landscapes of the 70s, the 80s, and the 90s, hinting at the likes of Joy Division and Slowdive.
SOFSKY is a five-piece combo based in Switzerland, and is formed by musicians hailing from extensive past musical experiences: Stefano Chiassai (guitars) and Giona Mattei (bass), formerly with the acclaimed post-rock band KOVLO, which toured Switzerland, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Belgium, and China; Flavio Calaon (keys), member of the duo Shindo and previously of Flanard, soloist, composer and orchestra conductor; Marco Mariani, (drums), co-founder of the Emas Musical project and active in several musical projects such as Vibes Delivery and Trifase Band; Nick Poretti (vocals), former member of nu-prog band Plain and known for his collaborations with Re-count and Stendeck.
