Soft Corporate

Based in Melbourne, indie four-piece Soft Corporate explore the boundaries of pop with their simultaneously anthemic and intricate compositions.

The group channels its chamber pop influences with their latest single Full Of Nothing, a brooding offering, showcasing the patience that the band exercises in their songwriting, slowly rising and engulfing the senses. Featuring a haunting string section courtesy of violinist Kelly Lane, the track dances around a quiet sense of unease with its soaring vocal melodies and a persistent rhythm section.

Their debut EP Good Things Will Happen, released mid 2016, was filled with a maturity that belied the fairly recent genesis of the band with three singles ‘Boats’, ‘Slipped’ and ‘Downward Sea’ introducing different aspects of the quartet’s sound, gaining national radio play in the process.

Reminiscent of their melodic indie rock predecessors, Soft Corporate draw inspiration from their contemporaries with their slow burning builds and shifting dynamics. Lead vocalist Troy Sheehan’s lyrics center on deep reflections, moments of clarity, time and trying to survive the metaphorical or literal end of the world.
