SOFT LAD is back with her brand new single ‘The Human Condition’.
SOFT LAD - the musical project from acclaimed singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Sophie Galpin - is no stranger to the music industry. You may have spotted her in bands with SELF ESTEEM and SOAK, and she’s previously worked with Jessie Ware, Becky Hill, Charli XCX, James Vincent McMorrow and more.
With her debut solo EP ‘Maximum Feels’ receiving critical acclaim from the likes of Sunday Times Culture and DORK (to name just a few), SOFT LAD makes her highly anticipated return with ‘The Human Condition’, continuing her mission to make music for a queer community in search of a new icon.
With influences ranging from 90’s R&B (think Eternal, The Spice Girls and Destiny’s Child) to the alt-pop sensibilities of James Blake and The Japanese House, SOFT LAD showcases individualistic femininity in a male-dominated space. Before you know it, you'll be two stepping (or sobbing, either is fine) along to pop music that feels like it was written just for you. We fall, we royally mess up, we love, we lose, we get over it - SOFT LAD holds your hand through it all, as a reminder that we aren't so alone.
