Born and raised in Bombay, Sohail Nathani’s musical journey has been entwined with classic Hip-Hop and R&B beats. Sohail’s personal sense of finding spirituality and using his music as a tool of its expression creates his distinctive sound. His pursuit of using music as a method of healing is expressed through his first two singles. Sohail marries pop culture with spiritual undertones through his melodies with piano melodies that pay homage to his childhood rock & pop heroes. Further, overarching themes of love, loss, pain and healing are amplified with his lyrics and melodies which he writes all by himself. His next two singles “Bloodstream” and “Angels Smell Like Elie Saab” are a chiaroscuro of emotion. While “Bloodstream” conveys darker tones of loss and deep regret with loosing his way growing up, making bad decisions and fighting the negativity “Angels wear Ellie Saab” is a lighter take on finding love and hope that comes with it. Currently, Sohail is working on his next few tracks, with his eyes firmly set on topping music charts in India and globally too if the universe is kind enough.
