Solar Surfer is a retrowave duo from Gothenburg, Sweden, consisting of siblings Elias and Julia Holmlid. Their sound originates in the outrun electro synthwave sub-genre, but presents a fresh new take on the 1980s revival movement. The idea for Solar Surfer was born in 2018 when Elias, long time composer and keyboardist in symphonic power metal band <a href="spotify:artist:5qwH9gKvchSfuv8V6pBU71" data-name="Dragonland">Dragonland</a>, felt the urge to create a new project of his own and to express some ideas that had been taking form in his mind for quite some time.
The debut EP, The Pangalactic Express is - as the title implies - a journey of bold proportions, taking the listener to various places in an energetic and spectacular retro-futuristic universe.
