Producer/composer Branwen Munn first used her Somatik alias back in the late 90s for a drum and bass remix she did for Zip Dog Records. Since then the artist name became associated with the broken beat movement in west London, with her Twisted Funk records release Interaktion becoming popular within the scene during the early 2000s. Branwen released the first Somatik album Learning the Colours on her own label GoldHill records a few years later, and still occasionally creates electronic dance tracks under the alias.
