Someday Soon

The origins of Someday Soon can be traced all the way back to a group of young Yorkshire lads at highschool: Andy Bailey (bass), his brother Shaun Bailey (guitar), and school friend Adam Slater (drums) playing the music of their idols Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix in cramped pub alcoves.

<a href="spotify:artist:1ygQzHacQ8bfVbMupiLvTE" data-name="Jack Walton">Jack Walton</a> (vocals), an alum of the same highschool, would go on to gain international recognition as a solo singer after reaching the finals of a high-profile TV talent show. Despite label interest, Jack would make the decision to step away from the limelight and pursue his own music rather than performing the songs of pop producers.

In 2022, the four lads from Castleford, West Yorkshire, crossed paths again at a local jam night. This would then lead to a more formal rehearsal session. After jamming a classic soul number from Donny Hathaway, sparks immediately flew and before long the boys were writing original music.

The band’s sound draws influence from timeless genres like blues, soul, funk, but with a contemporary and modern edge. Jack&#39;s soul-baring voice is complemented by a well-oiled, fearsome rhythm section, accented by Shaun’s virtuosic lead guitar playing.
