SomeElectronicCookin is a Germany-based producer who’s on a mission to stir up the darker aspects of sound to generate his take on Techno. His approach to DarkMinimalTechno is shaped by dense soundscapes, driving minimalistic beats and often garnished by vocal samples.
Starting back in the mid 90’s as the frontman of a DeathMetal act called XSAD, it was around 2007, that he decided to reach out to the active end of techno music and contribute to the community he had by that time already been participating in for over a decade.
Struck by the atmosphere created within music that started to mix menacing DeathMetal with drumcomputers and samplers – in the likes of Godflesh or PitchShifter - and the intensity of techno felt on the dancefloor he decided to transfer those vibes into his very own menu of sound and did so until 2010.
Like with some good food it might take a while for the ingredients to simmer and combine and so - after that long break – beginning of 2018 the time seemed just right to stir again and to prepare the feast…
