Something Extra’s powerful soloists, polished harmonies, and irresistible charm distinguish it as Yale University’s Premiere SSAA A Cappella Group. With an outstanding ensemble of Sopranos and Altos, Something Extra upholds a 46-year legacy of musical excellence and lasting friendships. The group has performed its dynamic repertoire throughout North America, South America, Europe, and Asia, singing at venues such as the White House, U.S. embassies, and the set of “Jeopardy!” Something Extra is proud to sing genres ranging from jazz to country, pop to rock, and traditional to indie — with an exclusively self-arranged repertoire. Something Extra’s achievements in music have garnered extensive recognition from organizations such as the Collegiate A Cappella Society of America, as well as praise from other a cappella groups at Yale and beyond.
