British DJ & producer, Somn3um (pronounced ‘Som-nee-um’) has been taking the house music world by storm since 2016. Somn3um (real name, David Newsum), is based in Dubai and London, and holds a rich and impressive history of house and trance music. David began his career in electronic music as a celebrated trance DJ and producer, having received recognition from the likes of Above & Beyond and featuring on A State of Trance. He was also signed to the revered UK label Discover Records.
Not content with a busy studio schedule, Somn3um has also launched his own label - Somn’thing Records. The ethos behind the label focuses not just on records from the Somn3um studio, but also from other artists David loves; covering a deep, house-centric sound. At the end of 2019, Somn’thing Records expanded to release a wider and more underground range of music on new sister labels Somn’thing Euphoric, Somn’thing Progressive and Somn’thing Tech.
As a DJ, Somn3um has consistently delivered. Very quickly Somn3um was granted a residency at legendary club night The Gallery at Ministry of Sound in London. So far Somn3um has shared the stage with the likes of Nicky Romero, Will Sparks, Julian Jordan, Cosmic Gate, Benny Benassi, Hannah Wants, Jonas Blue, Sonny Fodera and Mark Knight.
