Born in 1994 in the science city of Dubna, near Moscow, Alexander Drobin, the creative force behind Somnia, was immersed in music from an early age. Growing up in a musical family—his father a longtime rock musician—Alexander naturally developed a deep connection to sound. His journey began in 2008 when he first emerged as a trance DJ, crafting hypnotic rhythms and melodic landscapes.

Formally trained in music, Somnia refined his craft, and by 2014, his talent propelled him onto the international stage. A four-time performer at Tomorrowland, he has left his mark on the world’s most prestigious electronic music festival, delivering sets that resonate with energy and emotion.

His music has echoed across renowned festivals worldwide, including Psygathering Festival (Belgium), Metagenesis Festival (Mexico), Superstition Festival (Portugal), Abstraction Festival (Russia), Wild Mint (Russia), and Trancemission, among others. Each performance solidifies his place in the global electronic music scene.
