Somto

Somtochukwu Emmanuel Udogu known as Somto is the fast-rising Nigerian Music sensation known for his soulful and adventurous Afro-pop, Afro Beat genre who has been named as one of the best young artists of his generation.

Early Life
Somto was born in 1996 in Lagos where he completed his primary and secondary schools, before moving to Eastern Nigeria and graduated from the department of linguistics in Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State. He is originally from Uli in Anambra state, the same country home with Kcee and E-money.

Background
From a family of three, he’s very special to his parents having grown up with his father and mother only who were also musically inclined, which greatly influenced his love for music.

Somto has been singing since he can remember but became intentional about music in 2013 when he has devoted his time in putting out a lot of works, freestyles, covers on social media, stimulating a lot of interest from music fans all over the world. The stage name Somto is an Igbo name from his original name Somtochukwu which means “Praise the lord with me”.
