Growing up, I was always surrounded by music. It was like an unspoken language that found its way into my heart early on. But I didn’t fully realize just how much it meant to me until I joined the church choir.
Now, here’s the twist ,joining the choir wasn’t entirely my idea. In the Anglican Church, one of the “unofficial” requirements for confirmation was to be part of the choir, so let’s just say I was… gently manipulated into it. I joined thinking it was just another box to check, a formality on the way to confirmation.
But God had another plan.
The moment I began singing with the choir, something shifted. I felt alive. What started as obligation quickly became passion. I discovered that I didn’t just like to sing I loved it. Harmonies, melodies, worship it all started to speak deeply to me. That choir stall became my first stage, my training ground, and the place where I started to understand my gift.
And from there, the journey began.
