Sonic Avionics is: Julian Sciolla (drums), Bryan Thomas (bass), Harrison Borsh (guitar/vocals) & Sean Lavigne (lead guitar). The band is the brainchild of Julian Sciolla and Bryan Thomas. The two immediately connected over a love for soul and funk music and an affinity for the drumming of Galactic's Stanton Moore in particular. Sonic Avionics is dedicated to live funk and soul, and bringing people together though music.
Based out of Tyngsboro Massachusetts, you can most often catch Sonic Avionics live around Lowell MA, Northern Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire.
Their first full length album, On the Air (2019), is the culmination the the first phase of Sonic Avionics' evolution and features former band member Matt Descoteaux (keys & vocals).
Since 2020, the band has kept its primary focus on live performances, and writing and performing new original music. Keep and ear here, on Spotify, as the band plans to regularly release new music as singles!
