Sonic Selection

Sonic Selection, is a Boston based duo. The group’s sound is characterized as hip-hop and RnB, but their Puerto Rican and Vincentian heritages breathe new color into traditional genres.
While the group’s influences include Bob Marley, Chris Brown, J. Cole and John Coltrane, their initial inspiration came from life at home. Lukie's father, working as a DJ, always filled the house with the sounds of salsa. Mazing's mother provided him with violin lessons and opportunities to perform in order to promote musical expression, something she didn’t have growing up. Since then their music has made its way around the Boston area to venues such as The Foundation Room at the House of Blue Boston, Sonia at the Middle East, and Wonder Bar where their sound has brought hundreds of local fans to the door. Lukie Spitta and Mazing have collaborated with local artists to write and produce multiple singles. Their 2019 single, Memories, reminds listeners of the pain and healing powers of love, their 2020 single, Maneuver & Gain, tells how it is to grind in the cold and unforgiving streets of Boston. The groups latest solo release, Light In Me, carries the message of positive energy, hoping to ignite a deeper connection between loving souls.With 16000+ listeners.
