Sonni Shine spent much of her music career performing in Philadelphia and throughout the East Coast, as a solo artist and as frontwoman for reggae-fusion band The Underwater Sounds. She has been fortunate to open for artists like Snarky Puppy, Nai Palm (of Hiatus Kaiyote), Groundation, Fatoumata Diawara, and the Easy Star All Stars. She relocated to Hawai’i Island in 2020 and continues to release her own music and collaborate with local artists. Her style is an eclectic mix of the music she grew up on: neo-soul, R&B, hip-hop, and reggae.
