Raised in Seattle by a flamenco guitarist from Italy and a jazz vocalist from Georgia, Sonny found his way in the world of music through songwriting. His sound creates bridges between 60s folk, sad pop, and alternative, with the liberal use of space, layered violins, rickety pianos, classical guitar and forward vocals. Though remaining integral to Sonny’s life, he stepped away from pursuing music after college to become a high school English teacher in Chicago. After a decade in education, Sonny has recently moved to Nashville where he will begin his journey back into music by debuting a series of solo, multi-instrumental singles throughout 2024.
