Finding two alt-rock heavyweights coming together, Sons of the Sea is a collaboration between <a href="spotify:artist:3YcBF2ttyueytpXtEzn1Za">Incubus</a> frontman <a href="spotify:artist:0QmjlE852mAIaEt2IpBquO">Brandon Boyd</a> and producer and multi-instrumentalist <a href="spotify:artist:0BG5aq4J5LuJV8kQcGJ336">Brendan O'Brien</a>. The pair had initially met after <a href="spotify:artist:0BG5aq4J5LuJV8kQcGJ336">O'Brien</a> produced a handful of <a href="spotify:artist:3YcBF2ttyueytpXtEzn1Za">Incubus</a> records, including 2011's If Not Now, When?, and decided it would be interesting to get together to write songs as a pair. The result is a band that pairs <a href="spotify:artist:0BG5aq4J5LuJV8kQcGJ336">O'Brien</a>'s award-winning production with <a href="spotify:artist:0QmjlE852mAIaEt2IpBquO">Boyd</a>'s soaring vocals to create a whirlwind of eclectic alt-pop.
