Born in Portugal, Sophya moved to London in England at the age of 20. Since a young age, singing had become her passion, but being a creative soul led her to experiment with songwriting and producing, skills which she’s been continuously developing and have allowed her to write and produce multiple tracks. Her music has been influenced by dashes of multiple genres including funk, neo-soul, jazz and alternative pop as you can hear on her 2 released singles and EP.
She’s been releasing music since the age of 16 but considers her discography to start at the age of 19 with her first single release Devil’s House. Sophya has been finding herself alongside the journey of finding her sound. She believes she’ll be ever mutating, and so will her music be. She defines her music best as “Growing and shifting like anything in this world”.
