2022年より活動開始。2024年3月、アルバム「soraya」をリリース。リード曲「風の中で」がJ-WAVE TOKIO HOT 100で６位にランクイン。同年7月にはFUJI ROCK FES'24へも出演。今年1月にシングル「言葉の庭」リリース、4月にはトリプルファイヤーを迎えた対バン企画をVeats Shibuyaにて開催し好評を博す。11月16日には自主企画として初のホール公演を草月ホールにて開催する。メンバーの壷阪、石川ともにJAZZの名門レーベルVERVEよりソロ作品もリリースしており、世界からも注目が集まるアーティスト。
soraya is a musical unit formed by pianist and composer Kento Tsubosaka, who is active in the jazz field, and Kurena Ishikawa, a bassist and vocalist.They began their activities in 2022. In March 2024, they released their debut album soraya, and in July of the same year, performed at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL '24.On November 16, 2025, they will hold their first self-produced hall concert at Sogetsu Hall in Tokyo.Both Kento and Kurena have also released solo works on the prestigious jazz label Verve Records, and are gaining international recognition as emerging artists from Japan.
