When vocalist Trent Leavitt sent a set of lyrics to childhood friend, singer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer, Sam McKay a spark was lit in both their eyes. This spark would lead the pair to sitting down and writing their first track, The Language Of Secrets, inspired by a blend of New England Hardcore, Mathcore, Metalcore, and the bands they loved growing up.
Shorty after this the duo released an EP, ‘Only Bangers: Volume One’. Featuring 6 highly emotional and heavy tracks. Following the release of their debut EP the duo would put their heads back down and begin work on an album that combined confessional lyrics with a melancholic sound and nostalgic feel.
As the band expanded in members they also released a set of singles leading up to that album. Autumn Into Winter, a deeply personal track written by Sam about finding her own footing, Dear Friend, another personal track written this time by Trent about regaining a friendship originally lost to time, The Mortar and The Pestle, an adaptation of a classic poem retold with ground-shattering gutturals and throat-tearing screams, and last but certainly not least, The Depths Of Your Persistence is an energetic ode to the early 00s era of Metalcore.
After playing a show with close friend Kam and prodigy-kid Joey forming the "new" lineup, Sam has decided to move on and no longer be bound by genres. Crim is looking for their footing as a musician alongside Kami. While one door closed, many more have opened. 2023-2025
