Soul Rich

Born a celestial being on the planet Mars 003 in the 5th Dimension, in the winter of August 5th, Soul Rich was inspired by the nostalgic sounds he would hear as an infant sitting on the lounge floor as his parents played Sade and Michael Bolton. During Car Rides with his sisters they would play U-b40 and brandy. His love for sound grew then as later on in highschool he's sister made him listen to Pink Matter and Novacane by Frank Ocean and he fell in love writing in a poetic style. Listening to Childish Gambino and Chance the rapper's 'Acid Rap'. He was also inspired by Jaden and Willow Smith, and Lana Del Rey.

In 2016 he went to the Academy of Sound Engineering where he met producer, Know, and that same year founded GDR (Garage Door Records) and The Unknowns Movement alongside LAEZY.I and Jason Langa. It was during that year that he also discovered Pink Floyd and The Beach boys, as well as sounds like Z by SZA featuring Jesepy, which he would say provide you with an ambient feeling and vibration.

Since then he has recorded his first song 'Gambit Where Are You?' From his long awaited NiiiRVANA LP which will be coming out later this year. This LP houses psychedelic sounds, with songs like 'The Modern Day Subconscious' and his lead single 'A Night on the Clouds' dwelling in the topics of coping with the questioning of life, love and humanity in the modern day world. This LP channels and challenges the concept of reality in each individual mind and leaves you in Ukiyo.
