Known for his original touch, DJ Soulbase from Oslo, Norway brings influences from the world in his production and DJ-sets. Inspired by several years abroad, this golden era hiphop/R&B head mixes sampling and Scandinavian melodics with Afro-Caribbean rhythm and UK style beats.
He has made music with many of the biggest artists in his country, including Karpe, Stella Mwangi and Admiral P, most recently with artists such as FELA and many more. Lately he has made noise with his afro fusion collective Iskald Sound, with killer DJ sets and live shows on top of his songs as a solo artist. His influences are ranging from Curtis Mayfield, Pete Rock, P2J, Black Coffee, The RZA, RJD2, Diplo, The Prodigy to D´Angelo and Röyksopp, making the Soulbase sause both soulful and vivrant.
