Sound of Elliot

Sound of Elliot releases its first single “Med mörkret omkring” in 2021.

At first Sound of Elliot was a duo consisting of Viveca Elliot and Henrik Englöv Elliot. They started making music together and eventually they discovered the music of bossa nova. They recorded an album with bossa nova songs in Swedish. On the album “Bossa på svenska” you can hear the merited musicians Magnus Sjöquist (bass), Mats Nyström (drums), Erik Slättberg (piano), Patric Wermeling (piano), Lars Fhager (percussion), Kristoffer Sjöberg (percussion) and Jonne Bentlöv (trumpet) from Bo Kaspers Orkester. Composer, guitar, piano and vocals: Henrik Englöv Elliot. Lead singer, composer and lyrics: Viveca Elliot. The album is available on CD as well.
The project has received media attention in the newspaper “Nerikes Allehanda” and their songs are frequently heard on the radio. Sound of Elliot was nominated as Artist of the Year of Radio Örebro 2022.
In 2023 they released a new single, "I´m not a liar", moving towards pop and disco this time.
Later the same year they released the bossa nova classic Corcovado (Quiet nights of quiet stars) by Antonio Jobim and Gene Lees. With their own lyrics in Swedish, it´s called Tysta nätter, tysta spår (Swedish lyrics by Viveca Elliot and Anneli Olsson.)
Sound of Elliot is now moving towards more music in English, and exploring genres like gospel/soul/pop.
