Exeter, U.K.-born folk duo Abbe Martin and Hannah Wood (aka Sound of the Sirens) use vocal harmonies to weave tales of sadness, albeit with a positive spin. Martin and Wood met in 2012 while they were both working at the Timepiece venue in Exeter, where, after writing a few songs together, they would play their debut live show. Over the next few years, the duo continued to play live shows, all the while releasing a string of EPs, including 2015's All We Have Is Time. The following year they performed at Glastonbury, where Radio DJ and TV presenter Chris Evans was in the crowd; Evans was impressed by the performance, leading to an invite for them to perform on his show, TFI Friday, alongside <a href="spotify:artist:51Blml2LZPmy7TTiAg47vQ">U2</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:1XgFuvRd7r5g0h844A5ZUQ">Take That</a>.
