Meet soundslikeLANG, alias of music producer Dave Lang. Musicians don’t respect him. And your friends have never heard of him.
After spending his formative years in the great swamp of New Jersey, Dave eventually made his way across America towards California. With no foreseeable parental supervision, Lang took homestead in an abandoned pool house that was a part of a former mob owned hotel behind a skatepark on the outskirts of Tehachapi.
After nearly dying in a rollerblading accident and being completely disillusioned by a dream career, Lang packed his bags (along with his false hopes) and headed West to Los Angeles in pursuit of the silver screen.
Years later, he would only end up wasting all of his of his free time making remedial level music (at the expense of his neighbors) in a 1920’s bungalow community in Hollywood. His film career remained “sparse” at best.
Today, soundslikeLANG’s musical future remains disheartening. However, (for better or worse) he continues to “prevail” while trying to prove everyone in his home town wrong about something that he most likely made up in his head.
