Southern Born Kings records is a record label/publisher based in Cape Town, South Africa and is home to artist Slawsin Blue, Forbe$$, Taye Hicks and Nate Stonerson. The company is a startup record label with the sole purpose to pioneer the hip hop culture is Cape Town.
Initially the company was in process the year 2014, but never formally launched until 14 January 2020. Furthermore the company is owned and directed by four individuals Damian Louw, Tashwell Louw, Zandre Louw and Nathan Saunderson. These four individuals work hard on a day to day basis to keep everything running smooth and to secure each goal.
Southern Born Kings records is more then just a record label, it is family with vision and at the same time it is a movement of empowerment. Moreover the company is dedicated to bringing a change to the music industry in South Africa and to giving young unsigned artist a chance at bringing their vision to life. The company also have a vision to decrease the unemployment rate and give each young individual an opportunity at employment.
Nothing Came Easy vol.1 will be the first project that will be released by the record label and will be available 15 Feb 2020. The record label also have a single out now titled IAmSlawsin by artist Slawsin Blue also known as Tha Millennial Icon.
