Souvenir Satellite began as a response to being ousted from the band he formed with David Trammell (AKA mr.blueSky), and George Reagan (Hagfish). The band wanted to "go in a different direction". That band was Tele and recorded one full length vinyl LP and performed briefly in Denton and Dallas, TX from 1998-2000. Souvenir Satellite (Meikle Gardner) was born of that divorce and immediate released Exiting Orbit Now in 2000. Their follow up was recorded in Memphis, TN in 2006. That record was called Lucky Peso. Hello Goodbye, the newest release (2023), their first is over 16 years, was recorded over the course of 14 months at Monaco Studios in Maine. Meikle reached out to his longtime companion and song writing partner mr.blueSky and tapped him to be the producer for this most recent project. Meikle lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
