Born in a basement in sunny San Marcos and having cut their teeth at the late great Triple Crown, Sp_aces is a trio with experimentation on the brain. Are they math rock? Prog rock? Psych rock? Enchanted rock? The answer is yes. Plagued by humor and endowed with a talent for writing catchy odd time riffs, Sp_aces will raise your spirits with their songs about time machines and sea monsters and have you tapping your feet along to an impossible rhythm before you can say “Who are you people and what are you doing in my house?” As of 2022 they are entering their tenth year as a band and have played more venues in central Texas than they care to count. But they still bring so much vigor and enthusiasm to each performance you’d swear they were on drugs. You’d swear it! But they all have steady jobs. Also their names are William, Frank, and Eric.
