Spacebugs

Spacebugs are an indie pop/rock duo from Melbourne (Naarm) consisting of Rachel Butler on vocals, piano and trumpet and Reina Trias on guitar and bass. The duo have been playing music together since they were 11 and have started to refine their sound in the last few years with the introduction of their own original music.

Their debut single “Third Wheel”, released in 2021, was inspired by the superfluous feeling on a night out in Melbourne. It’s a relatable, catchy, and slightly humorous tune that made Spacebugs hungry to release more music. Shortly after their debut release, the duo released “Beer Belly” and “Dreamhouse”.

Spacebugs have been working together between COVID lockdowns to produce 5 songs which will be featured in their upcoming EP, “The Fundamentals of Living” - 16 minutes of music about crushes, travel, love, family and everything that is core to being human. The next big step will be live performances as they continue growing as artists.
