North London, Tottenham, is home for artist SpaceVet who tries to differentiate himself from most of the UK Wave scene through his creative and unique melodies and his impressive ear for extravagant production.
The 23-year-old rapper released his first single <a href="spotify:track:1SAm8FGjZSRhxd1sOyhSyT" data-name="Shelter">Shelter</a> in march 2021 following a more mellow tone compared to his recent releases such as <a href="spotify:track:4vhWOUPiYzZ1U4bOjq8qFe" data-name="Fraudstar">Fraudstar</a>. SpaceVet says that slower & more personal music is the type of music he really wants to make and plans to revisit that style of ‘Pain Music’ in his next mixtape which is anticipated to drop next year.
SpaceVet says the whole persona comes from his daily life. He says “Space is Lonely but with a lot of pretty stars.” As an introverted person he’s found the beauty in solitude & enjoys his own company. He continues to say “it’s also that inspiration of being in a dark void yet you still manage to see the light, strive for it.” He enjoys using his artwork for singles to further convey this message as we see the single <a href="spotify:track:6nVKDW00BP4MLLoApEG2BH" data-name="PYP">PYP</a> feature two astronauts who seem to be fond of eachother.
The wave artist says he considers himself as an artist rather than a rapper, he claims his next project will separate him from most, showcasing his lyrical abilities and arsenal of sounds as he wants to have several genre’s on one mixtape.
2025 is definitely a year to expect a lot more from SpaceVet.
