SPANKTHENUN is an Electro Post-Punk Industrial act that dabbles in Darkwave, Techno, CyberPunk and a little bit of everything else from time to time.
January 2020, SPANKTHENUN released their first album. This release got the attention of several other artists in the Industrial Dark Wave genre and SPANKTHENUN quickly started collaborating with Leæther Strip, Slighter and Ivardensphere's Scott Fox who also produced the full length album Initial Decay Control.
SPANKTHENUN has released three full length albums, and many singles and remix EPs. The band continues to put out new content on a monthly basis and play high energy live shows that get any crowd dancing. The band also has a new side project coming called CARBON D3CAY that is focused on ultra high energy cyberpunk, dark techno and electro house.
SPANKTHENUN has collaborated with members of PIGFACE, Grendel, Mechanical Vein, Lords of Acid, Die Krupps, Extize, Empirion, ESA, Moris Blak, Matt Hart, Angelspit, The Joy Thieves, Ruined Conflict, Ruinizer, Leaether Strip, Blue Ant, 11Grams, unitcode:machine, Solemn Assembly, Eva X, Dread Risks, Anthony [H], Sawtooth, Negant, Nature of Wires, Melodywhore, Assemblage 23, Formato Negativo, Sapphira Vee, SET, Waidjan, Di Auger, Psychosomatik, Upon Eventual Collapse, Slighter, iVardenpshere, Toothpinch, Diverje and many more.
SPANKTHENUN has played live shows with The Haxans, Suicide Commando, I Ya Toyah and Christian Death.
