Sparrow (Bryan Coletta) is a Swiss DJ, producer, and pianist whose music fuses soulful musicianship with cross-cultural electronic influences. A lifelong instrumentalist, his grounding in harmony, composition, and improvisation shapes his productions. Born into a musical family—his father, jazz guitarist Francis Coletta, worked with Whitney Houston, Quincy Jones, and Frank Sinatra—Sparrow’s sound is rooted in soul, jazz, and funk.
As half of Sparrow & Barbossa he became a key figure in Afro/Latin house, delivering hits like Yeke, Nterini, and Champion, and collaborating with Rampa, Josh Milan, Dele Sosimi, and Idd Aziz. The duo’s debut Seven Seas earned over 30 million streams, and their remake of Modjo’s Lady hit #1 on the Afro House Beatport chart. Sparrow has also worked on crossover projects with Sia, Deadmau5, Gypsy, Blessd, and PJ Sin Suela.
An international performer, he’s played club rooms and mainstages alongside Keinemusik, Black Coffee, and Louie Vega, with appearances at Tomorrowland, Coachella, Circoloco (Ibiza), Space Miami, and Montreux Jazz Festival. In 2022 he founded Tortuga Records to support Latin American and Caribbean talent, releasing tracks such as Light Down (Meloko) and Grown & Sexy (Sparrow & Barbossa).
Now pursuing a solo path, Sparrow expands the duo’s musical direction—drawing on Afro rhythms, soulful grooves, and harmonic sensibility—while broadening into house music more generally.
