Specula Black, a heavy metal/hard rock band which formed in the late 1980's in Winnipeg, Canada. Original members, Tony Brenda, Scott Botham, Aleks Paunovic, George Lazic and Rob Bjornson came together to bring the heavy metal sound to Canada, touring extensively for 5 years.
A couple of years into touring, the band decided to head into the studio. A demo, which was never released but rather recorded to "shop around" for a record deal, was made. Unfortunately, the band went its separate ways before any of that music was ever released.
In 2012, the band reunited to play a charity event at the World Famous Palomino Club. They were joined on stage by Brent Fitz (Slash/Gene Simmons) Todd Kerns (Slash/Age of Electric) John Angus McDonald (The Trews) Ken "Spider" Sinneave (Streetheart/Loverboy). Almost $20,000 was raised for the Children's Wish Foundation by the evening's stellar performances.
30 years later, the 5 original members-who have remained friends- have decided to independently release some “Remastered” versions of Specula Black's original music. Five songs originally recorded in a friends analog basement studio.
Now in 2022, the band has reunited once again to record and release for the first time, songs written and performed on the bands tours in the 1990’s.
Follow and see what’s next for this Canadian Metal band that just won’t go away… 🤘😆🤘
