Beyond presenting a living and breathing musical hybrid of indie/alternative, pop, and psychedelia, Spencer Barnett fashions an entire world of his own design. Along the way, Spencer pieced together his next sonic chapter. COVID and New York in the dead of winter saw him weather a season of loneliness and isolation. However, he poured these experiences into his artistry.
Strutting confidently out of the gate, he kicks off a new era with the single “Swank.” On the track, a funkified bass line thumps beneath his swooning delivery. Against this backdrop, he flexes his expansive range, flipping breathy verses into a hypnotic high-register exhale on the hook, “Always, always.”
