“Not-So-Country” singer-songwriter Spencer Burns has hit the ground running in the country scene. It’s hard to believe that after deciding in 2022 to pursue music professionally, Spencer’s debut single ‘Wanting You’ has turned heads around North America.
The Toronto “city boy” and country lover has played shows from Ontario to Nashville and even appeared as a finalist in Canada largest country festival artist competition “Boots And Hearts” 2024.
In his short time in the scene, Spencer has amassed over 3.5M global streams with two singles added to Canada’s most prestigious radio station; Sirius XM’s “Top of the Country”.
Spencer’s true passion lies within songwriting and in 2024 he displayed his ability to write not only for himself as an artist but for others. In the last year he’s appeared as a writer on Nashville’s residing Caleb Lathrop’s “Love Song, Canadian artist Hunter Rae’s women empowering single “Be A Cowboy”, as well as Brian John Harwoods latest upbeat single “Tell You What”.
Spencer hopes to quickly build recognition and perform and write with the best in the business while bringing his roots of the Toronto music scene to the table.
2025 is set to be a career changing year for Spencer as he plans to release more self-written tunes that push beyond the bounds of the country genre. #NotSoCountry
