Created in 2016, Sphaera is a progressive metal band from Metz, France.
Between aggressivity and atmospheric moments, djent rhythms and bombastic orchestras, all with a versatile singing, Sphaera appears like an alien in the metal scene.
Their first EP, “C8H11NO2” - the dopamine formula - out in 2017 June, focuses on topic such as Prosopagnosia, the chemistry of love and the famous Schrödinger cat and lead them to several gigs this year, such as the Frame Festival in Avignon.
Their second EP named “Teratology”, out in 2018 june, deals with deformity and congenital abnormality, with songs about Joseph Merrick, alias Elephant man, or freak shows, thos circus displaying deformed humans.
With this new EP, Sphaera is back on the roads, inter alia with the german Band “Art Against Agony”. They played in Germany, Switzerland and, of course, France where they played with bands such as Decapitated, Misanthrope, Otep, Gravity, heart Attack and others.
The band is currently working on its first album, scheduled for 2020.
