Joshua “Spike Yee” Mei is a Chinese-American Hip Hop artist from the hills of Morgantown, West Virginia. As a first generation child of immigrants growing up in the middle of Appalachia, he seeks to share his first hand story with anyone who will listen in hopes to spread love and the concept of human connectivity through his lyrics. His music expresses a mesh of Eastern and Western culture, while blending in his influences ranging from Funk and Jazz to Classical music, all the way to 90’s Hip Hop and R&B.
Spike has provided direct support for a number of national touring artists from Hip Hop to EDM. Notable acts he has shared the stage with include: Machine Gun Kelly, Mod Sun, Nappy Roots, Ying Yang Twins, Wax, Mac Lethal, Daily Bread, Born I, Jason Leech, Josh Teed, Mickey Avalon, Homeboy Sandman, Travis Mills and more.
