Olawale Akinde popularly known as Wale Spinero is a US- born Nigerian American citizen who is the founder of Music Embassy Record and Spinero Brand LLC which also serves a fashion line.
Although currently based in the United States, Spinero grew up in Lagos where he attended Chrisland Nursery & Primary School, Ikeja and Kings College Lagos after which he completed his bachelors and masters education in the United States.
His exposure to music, both on a global and local scale started when he was a teenager. Listening to legends such as Fela Kuti, Ebenezer Obey, King Sunny Ade, Majek Fashek, Oliver De Coque and so on played a huge role in shaping his musical experience.
Though behind the music scene for years now, Spinero's wealth of experience in the industry has gained him access to key players and resources that puts him every and anywhere that has to do with music.
Spinero was featured in Adewale Ayuba's “Koloba Koloba” music video as an actor. He played the leading role in the video.
He has been in the limelight since 2008 but went global with his appearance in 2014 at Red Carpet Awards such as The Grammy Awards, Golden Globes, Vanity Fair, Ascaps, Espys amongst others. He was also featured in an Oscar 2020 nominated movie "Who is Gatsby Randolph".
In his words, "being passionate about what you do leads to success in most cases because at that point you are willing to sacrifice everything for it."
