Spiro Catalano

Spiro Catalano’s groovy tech house sound has been making waves all over California and the world, with his inspiration drawing heavily from early 2000’s hip hop and skateboarding culture. Since learning to DJ at age 12, Spiro has grown into a powerhouse producer with releases on record labels such as Space Yacht, CUFF, Farris Wheel, Late Night Munchies, and more. His early DirtyBird style has caught the eye of VonStroke himself, earning Spiro a spot at DirtyBird Campout in 2018 at the Bass Lodge for the afters.
Spiro has played at staple NorCal venues such as Monarch in San Francisco and Lowbrau in Sacramento, as well as SoCal favorites like Blind Tiger, Bardot, and Wicked West. This is no surprise given his unique DJ-ing style: Spiro does not believe in preparing mixes when he can overlay acapellas over beats to create his own twist on song. It’s truly a rare treat to hear live. Notably, this year, his music was played out on several stages at the Coachella Arts & Music Festival, as well as Connections Festival in Brazil and even at Ministry of Sound in 2022. Spiro Catalano hails from humble beginnings, but given his rapid upward trajectory, it’s clear he’s a rising star in the world of house music.
