Spleen formed in Florence in 2024. After settling on their final lineup, they signed with Contempo Records and released their debut EP, Dystopic School. The record received excellent feedback in the UK, leading the band to perform in England.

Over the course of the year, Spleen made a name for themselves in the Florence underground scene, released a second EP titled Making Plans for Nigel, and played on increasingly prominent stages. In December 2024, they embarked on a mini UK tour, selling out their first show at London’s Hope and Anchor.

After returning from the UK, Spleen continued to perform extensively across Florence’s circuit. Between April and May 2025, the band joined Italian rock icon <a href="spotify:artist:6gTrPTTb3XgiLt7GGcmf8j" data-name="Piero Pelù">Piero Pelù</a> as a supporting act on tour, playing some of the most important clubs throughout Italy.

In June 2025, Spleen launched their summer run, the “Behind the Sun Tour,” which brought them to major stages including Rebellion Festival (Blackpool, UK) and Sherwood Festival (Padua, Italy). Along the way, they shared the stage with <a href="spotify:artist:2DxlS3lTLFIq70S7ap5H3y" data-name="Buzzcocks">Buzzcocks</a> <a href="spotify:artist:4LAGemASxODFta2tWSAucy" data-name="Afterhours">Afterhours</a> , <a href="spotify:artist:1koU3PYin1x0g79oU9VB4A" data-name="Marlene Kuntz">Marlene Kuntz</a> , and <a href="spotify:artist:2RucBHMHhR5LMQUoGO19OW" data-name="Bambole Di Pezza">Bambole Di Pezza</a>.

Spleen are currently putting the final touches on their debut studio album, scheduled for release in late April. Summer 2026 will see the band return to the UK for the 30th edition of Rebellion Festival, and they will also open the Italian dates of <a href="spotify:artist:5r1bdqzhgRoHC3YcCV6N5a" data-name="The Darkness">The Darkness</a>, sharing the bill with <a href="spotify:artist:6urzdpGY5yUimWZsgJUoTb" data-name="Airbourne">Airbourne</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:6vFinMN4E9leUfcEyIIO0D" data-name="Messa">Messa</a>, with performances set at Castello Scaligero (Verona) and Pistoia Blues Festival.
