Taking a cue from the '90s CD series Die Schlümpfe, where songs from the charts were rearranged as dance cuts with vocals sung by the animated <a href="spotify:artist:2pqNd9EvniCLKJJCKyMi8e">Smurf</a> characters, the SpongeBob Schwammkopf album series features famous tracks with new German lyrics sung by <a href="spotify:artist:5isi7xwETQC1HbzQSaOufS">Santiago Ziesmer</a>, the German dubbing voice of SpongeBob, the cartoon character from the TV series SpongeBob SquarePants (SpongeBob Schwammkopf in Germany). Released in 2011, BOBmusik: Das Gelbe Album featured songs like "Lecker Lecker" (originally <a href="spotify:artist:0EmeFodog0BfCgMzAIvKQp">Shakira</a>'s "Waka Waka"), "Hummer" (<a href="spotify:artist:3gemH8D6fpu12DmTmUZYAL">Culcha Candela</a>'s "Hamma!"), and "Zack Zack" (<a href="spotify:artist:6LqNN22kT3074XbTVUrhzX">Ke$ha</a>'s "Tik Tok"). The album was re-released under the title BOBmusik: Das Gelbe Winteralbum at the end of the year, adding two bonus tracks ("Schnee in Bikini Bottom," which used to be "Party Rock Anthem" by <a href="spotify:artist:3sgFRtyBnxXD5ESfmbK4dl">LMFAO</a>, and "Frohes Fest," which was originally "Raise Your Glass" by <a href="spotify:artist:1KCSPY1glIKqW2TotWuXOR">P!nk</a>). SpongeBob Schwammkopf: Das Blaue Album, which included tracks such as "Au!" ("Stay" by <a href="spotify:artist:3w4VAlllkAWI6m0AV0Gn6a">Hurts</a>), "Ich Find's Trocken Toll" ("I Love Rock 'n' Roll" by <a href="spotify:artist:26dSoYclwsYLMAKD3tpOr4">Britney Spears</a>), and "Ich Bin RoboBob" ("Strobo Pop" by <a href="spotify:artist:1huEHiP7LUQ8QJHXbzrtDu">Die Atzen</a>), arrived in 2012.
