sportcafé - is a Ukrainian noise rock/post punk quartet, assembled in early 2023.

After the breakup of their former project and start of the full scale invasion to Ukraine most of the members had to flee their hometown of Zaporizhzhia to Kyiv and meeting their drummer somewhere along the way, they started to research the boundaries of their equipment and finding a unique and honest approach to songwriting, expressively bursting out soundscapes with biting fuzzy guitars soaked in dirty reverb, accentuated by fierce drumming and unfiltered, raw sound, reminiscent of the early 90's American post-hardcore bands, the band quickly found themselves some solid local fan base.

"This is what our songs should've sounded like in the first place. We always felt this itch inside of us, even with our early stuff under different name, we just weren't brave enough to set it free" - the members say.

with the release of two singles "індивід" and "earl grey" mixing both post-punk rhythmical sophistication and loud noise-rock walls of sound receiving solid reviews from local underground social media music channels, they are building a strong, authentic foundation for their debut album "gopunk" (tongue-in-cheek wordplay and homage to Ukrainian traditional folk dance "hopak") set to release somewhere later this year.
