From insightful acoustic serenades to explosive rhapsodies, SquiddyCuh has made a name for himself in the music scene. Combining the heartbreaking essence of Chopin’s works, the nostalgia of Go Ichinose and the vaporwave influences of Jornt Elzinga with his own prowess, he’s carefully crafted a sound that leaves a lasting impact.

Music is an integral part of his life. After living in a chaotic home for much of his childhood and living through the struggle of the COVID pandemic, music became his safe space. He picked up his first instrument - the clarinet - at the age of nine, beginning his composition journey just a year later.

He truly hit his stride with the 2023 creation of the piece “Sunlit Skies”. This piece featured carnivalesque melodies with overtones of nostalgia. Though his sound has changed and refined over time, his style of sadness shining through a gilded curtain has remained the cornerstone of his work.

Squiddy has worked with a number of prestigious ensembles and received many honors for his work. In October 2024, he was awarded Flat Composer of the Month and his work was selected to be showcased in NAFME’s 2025 Eastern Division Young Composer Showcase.

Beyond his musical journey, Squiddy is passionate about motorsport, linguistics and poetry. He engages with his community through Flat.io, creating a connection that runs deeper than music alone.
