SS Jay is proving that the people will still fight for what they believe is real. Inspired by the likes of J. Cole, Lucki, and Phora, the ones before who showed him before he even picked up the pen that if he and others could be a fan of artists who balance honesty and vulnerability, there was a lane for Jay too. Artists like them became a crutch during life’s biggest hurdles, and now that he is the one behind the mic, Jay only wants to set a similar goal for his own artistry. Bouncing seamlessly between "in your face" anthems like "Purge" and more introspective cuts such as "Life Can Wait," Jay proves he has many facets to records that all display a complete picture of an openly flawed up-and-coming artist that continues to learn the ropes of life with each passing day. "I want people to turn to my music in the darkest of times and the brightest of times and know that someone is there with them." It’s safe to say that while SS Jay is poised to have a breakout year, he will make sure he doesn’t stray too far from the goal in mind.
