Stag's Yarrow

Inspired by a variety of atmospheric genres and artists, Stag's Yarrow started as a personal adventure to express what's on my mind in a much more direct way, than with other bands I've played in.

Inspired by themes such as death, spirituality, anguish and love, Stag's Yarrow is a journey of healing for hopefully all of you, as well as for me.

Starting in March 2023, Stag&#39;s Yarrow had its beginnings at my parents&#39; home where I was temporarily couch ridden with a broken ankle and far too much time to write. It was around this time that I started to really finalise and get working toward recording the first SY song, <a href="spotify:track:2XjLK6JLfzLkmyZgVAgn6A" data-name="Airways">Airways</a>. It was a process of trying to keep the tunes relatively diverse, having experimented with more electronic sounds such as the studio version of <a href="spotify:track:2mTLP46YcdSlvIls403781" data-name="I Am The Dark">I Am The Dark</a>. In 2024, Stag&#39;s Yarrow saw the entrance of Junior on drums and Rowan on bass, building the sound as the set became much darker with heavier songs, more adjacent to blackened doom and post metal. We are currently working on our debut album.
