STAKBABBER RELEASES THIRD ALBUM 111 On Sept 25th 2025
Dark grooves, literary visions, and a new chapter in their musical evolution
This autumn, Amsterdam’s post-punk and new wave band Stakbabber will release their highly anticipated third studio album, 111. The record is recorded at Hightimes Studio in Herk-de-Stad, Belgium, with producer Thomas Valkiers (The Haunted Youth, Equal Idiots, Crackups) at the helm.
Producer Thomas Valkiers: “Stakbabber’s songs carry the raw intensity of the eighties, yet sound fresh and urgent at the same time. 111 had to be warm and layered, but also sharp enough to strike the listener immediately.”
On 111, Stakbabber bridges the sound of eighties wave/post-punk with the present.
The songs weave tales of human drives, of losing and finding one’s way, with hope and longing. Where the untitled 2019 album embraced the dancefloor, 111 pulls listeners even deeper into the pulse of the nocturnal city, where neon hums and rain ticks on asphalt. As the band puts it: “intense, Junge Hunde, through the night...”
