Standard Jack is the music project of muti-instrumentalist Gary Gossman. After getting started in the small South African city of Port Elizabeth, Gary moved to New Zealand to pursue more opportunities in music.
While living in New Zealand’s capital city of Wellington, Standard Jack performed in the local music scene, recorded an EP at Undercroft Studios, and filmed a music video in the wilderness of New Zealand’s Desert Road. The EP, entitled “Lost”, was mastered by Grammy Award-winning engineers Greg Calbi & Steve Fallone and was released along with the music video for its lead single “Why” in May 2023.
Now living in Los Angeles, California, Standard Jack is working on a follow-up EP and preparing to return to the stage in 2025.
